Blood in cough
Hi i am lakshay i am 19 years old.. i was having cough and cold since a week and i also had fever but the fever has gone now but the cough is still there.. today i noticed that there was little blood in my cough but it was not there 2 days back when i checked .. is it normal? Cause my cough was really bad but now its kinda normal and maybe the blood is cause of the damage in my throat? Please help

You seem to be suffering from post viral cough which is common type of dry cough syndrome after an attack of viral upper respiratory tract infection. Violent cough can cause rupture of small blood vessels inside your airway leading to minimal bleeding. You may need to take dry cough syrup, strepsils like lozenges and steam inhalation for faster recovery
