Bleeding from anal from past few months
Hello Dr., I am shivangi and my age is 25 yers old. Around 5 months back i suffered from fissure, i took medicine for that and recovered from it. But now from past 3 months i bleed from anal. During the stool paas i feel immense itching in my anal and blood at my anal, bleeding is not much and can only be identified when i use tissue paper. Please suggest what should i do? is this fissure or something else?

[ ] Hi if this bleed is not associated with pain than is generally due to piles and quantity of blood should be more. If this is associated with pain and quantity is less than this is due to fissure. At times there may be sigmoid colitis which leads to cramping lower abdominal pain and may cause passage of blood in stool. Other rare causes are presence of polyp growth Or a malignant growth. You should avoid constipation, as this is the cause for piles/ Fissure. it's better to get evaluated , a short scopy done to rule out the underline problem. Take salads in each diet. Take plenty of water. Get your self evaluated soon. feel free to ask any further quary.Take care.

Hi Shivangi! You need a sigmoidoscopy.  It is likely piles this time if pain is not significant. But few other causes need to be ruled out.
