My wife's period got over on 8th July however, she recently started to experience bleeding once again and the flow is too much (more than the regular one).

Did she take an ipill,and was the period she got on 8th July a delayed period ,see there are lots of factors due to which such a thing happens ,so u may get an ultrasound done to confirm for the cause .
