M using copper t since 2yrs.i always hd heavy flow fr 10days a mnth regularly,last mnth i consulted a gynac fr heavy bleeding n she prescribed MEPRATE for 21 days since the 2ndday of my cycle.bt my periods dint stop at 10days n continued till 16days..i removd copper t on her advise bt its stil bleeding little little.y?

ideally meprate is a progesterone hormonal tab. it will thicken ur endometrial lining. initially ur bleeding will stop but then as a result of endometrial thickness u will eventually bleeding more. hence meprate is not a good choice. u can take pause mf instead which is nonhormonal. get a basic usg done to find any abnormal findings. cu t won't suit u as it would increase it bleeding
