Bleeding after 8 weeks post partum
I delivered 9 weeks ago via Csection. I had vaginal discharge all the while and once during the 7th week, heavy bleeding with lemon sized lumps. My gynac suggested a scan where it was found out that the uterus size and endometrium thickness are normal. I was advised Pause 500 until the bleeding stopped. I took the tablets for 3-4 days and the flow stopped completely. But since yesterday i.e. 2 weeks after the above incident, discharge has started again. Bleeding until what duration is normal?

Usually irregular bleeding as a part of the post delivery period lasts on an average for 3-4wks. During Breast feeding it is seen that bleeding is often irregular and may temporarily stop for sometime. Heavy bleeding may occur but needs evaluation if recurrent and leads to anaemia.
