I have had 2 of my pre molars removed from the top due to crowding and braces applied to correct my overbite. However, I have read that this treatment causes the facial aesthetics to be compromised and many people who have had the same type of extraction have gotten a flatter profile , an undesirable recessed chin and in some cases TMJ. Are there any alternative methods instead of moving my top teeth back to correct my bite even though I have already had the extractions done? Thank you.

Do not worry as every case is different. Your orthodontist must have evaluated your X-rays and your profile before extractions. If the extractions are done then the upper teeth have to be adjusted to close the gap .
