Birth control question
I just started taking birth control for the first time. I'm on Junel 1.5/30 , I've read from several sources that it takes up to 7 days for it to be effective against unwanted pregnancy. But when I was at the doctors, she told me a month. Im not sure which one is correct?

In first month there is always risk so if donot want pregnancy have to take any back up in the form of condom.Next cycle onwards no chances at all.
