What is the procedure for taking birth control during Accutane? I started taking Yaz 3 days ago and began my second course of Accutane on the 1st of February.

Accutane contains isotretinoin. If a patient conceives the baby can have birth abnormalities. That is why when this is prescribed some doctors prefer starting the patient on oral contraceptive pills so that they do not conceived by on treatment. Also in certain patients because of hormonal cause like PCOS the acne tends to be more that is why the birth control pills are also prescribed which normalise your ovulatory cycle.
