BIRADS 4 IN USG AND BIRADS 3 IN MRM
Hello Doctor, I am a 30-year-old woman and a new mother (delivered one month ago). I recently underwent a breast ultrasound and MRI mammography after noticing some breast issues. Below are the key findings from my reports: 1. MRI Mammography Findings: A BIRADS III lesion (minimal peripheral enhancement) was observed in the left breast at the 12 o’clock position, measuring approximately 24 x 13 mm. A simple cyst measuring 9 x 4 mm was noted in the left breast. Few reactive axillary lymph nodes were present on the left side, the largest being 18 x 10 mm with increased vascularity. 2. USG Findings: Multiple BIRADS II lesions were noted in the right breast at the 1 o’clock position. An ill-defined hypoechoic lesion with irregular margins was seen at the 12 o’clock position of the left breast, categorized as BIRADS IV, requiring further evaluation. Hi, In case of a young female, mri is more sensitive than ultrasound. Since the mri is reported the lesion in the left breast as a BIRADS 3 lesion, I would advise you to repeat the scan after a month and get a biopsy done if necessary.
