Better medicine than minoxidil.

My hair's are getting thin from front side and the temporal triangle is now visible from one side , For this i consulted with dermatologist and he prescribed me Hairbless tab and Tugain 5% Lotion which contains Minoxidil, I heard that minoxidil is only help till we are using it ,if we stopped it our hair's would be back in same condition so currently i haven't started Minoxidil.. Please someone tell me better medicine than this, i just need thinning from front side.. I can't use minoxidil for long term as it's quite expensive too.. please suggest any other lotion which will help me to get thinner hairs without contains Minoxidil..Thanks.. My age is : 19 At my family no-one had this problem.. And i am perfectly fine.. don't have diabetics, BP etc.
