Betnesol during 33 week increase glucose
My wife is 33 week pregnent. She is having fibroid of 8.7*7.9 she also has gestational diabetes which was under control with diet and medication. In recent sonography, she got polyhydramnios Our doctor adviced us to take betnesol (3) injection for 3 days in the gap of 24 hours, as he feels that there is risk of premature delivery. We already completed 2 days of dose, however we just noticed that, her glucose shoot up after taking these injections (post lunch 165 and fasting 123) which was otherwise under control. Is this side effect of betnesol injection? Is it safe to take these injections even if she has diabetes? We will be going to take the last dose today. Thank you.
