Elevated levels of beta-2 microglobulin in the blood can be a sign of certain medical conditions, including kidney dysfunction, autoimmune disorders, chronic infections, and certain types of cancer (Multiple myeloma, Chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Mantle cell lymphoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, renal cancer etc).
It needs to be evaluated.

The result of this test should be correlated clinically , can you please mention why this test was done , what was the complaints that you had to go to a doctor ,

It is elevated in many conditions like chronic kidney disease , some proliferation disorders of blood like myeloma and Lymphoma , if you are having some chronic inflammation conditions it can increase .
