Hi Doctor, My mother is suffering from Type 2 diabetes. What is the best time to take insulin? Is it bed time? If yes, is it before or after food.

It depends on what type of insulin has been prescribed. Some insulins are to be taken before and some can be taken after food. The timing depends on which sugar level is higher, fasting or after food.
