Best practice for wound healing
I have an wound in my right hand. It has been a week since the injury. I have very less pain now. I am replacing my dressing/bandage everyday as it is becoming a little wet at the end of day. The problem with this is the bandage is getting stuck to the wound and it is really painful to remove it. I recently started using a gel to make it less sticky buy even with this it is painful when changing the wound. So is it better to keep the wound open? If not issue is there a better way of dressing it so that it heals faster.

Non healing of wound could possibly be due to the presence of infection resulting in pus formation. Get a CBC done and you may require a short course of appropriate antibiotics.  Kindly consult online for further evaluation with cbc report.

Hello... If there is delay in wound healing get your sugars checked and make sure there is no infection in the wound. Please share a pic of your wound.

Need more details regarding the wound. If you could share a pic of it, we can give you a better suggestion or refer accordingly. Generally in young individuals healing is very fast. If it's still wet, either it's infected or some other underlying cause must be delaying the wound healing. Hope you have got Tetanus shots after injury.
