Base of thumb/palm pain

Asked for Male, 24 Years

When I wake up, consistently the base of the right thumb on the palm side has severe pain and usually goes away within a few minutes. Also, arm is numb when I wake up and thought the day, my right hand can become numb very easily by simple things (having my hand on top of the steering wheel for too long, picking up heavy items and holding them for a little bit...)
