For the last 5 days I am having lot of pain on my back in the area of the left shoulder blade. It hurts only while I am sitting and it hurts even more when I try to sit straight. But when standing or walking or sleeping it does not hurt at all. I am a 25 year old female. Please help.

Pain may be a muscles strain or weakness of your spine and/or shoulder blade muscles. It may happen due to bad posture or prolonged sitting/standing or working for long duration without breaks. Consult physiotherapist to find out the cause of the pain. Learn postural correction, strengthening of your scapular (shoulder blade) muscles, stretching of pectoral muscles if they have become tight.
Health Tips
Maintain good posture during work (avoid slouching or letting your shoulders forward). Avoid prolonged sitting/standing. Take breaks in between work.
