Hello Dr, I want to know that it is advisable to be on mobile for 2 to 3 hrs continuously for a person with spondylitis and backache. My father uses his mobile for 6 - 7 hrs in a day . Then complain of backache and cervical.please advice.

Mobile use while sitting directly influences the posture of every body part. Remaining in such awkward postures for long can cause muscle imbalances and then pain. If he requires to use then a mobile stand can be helpful for viewing, hands-free to talk and use of the speak option for typing long. Also he must take breaks every half hour and walk and do stretching plus movement exercises.

Yes ,it not advisable to use mobile for a long time.
It causes tremendous pressure on neck and back nerves leading to pain, numbness in fingers and even giddiness.
