Back pain after donating blood
I'm an 18-year-old healthy female, and recently donated 450 mL of my blood. As soon as my donation was done, I stood up from the chair I was sitting at while donating, and I had a hot throbbing sensation in my neck and shoulders. Soon after, the pain radiated down to my mid and lower back. My back has been severely hurting since that donation, which happened a little over a week ago. Do I need to consult a doctor?

It is likely that the back pain is due to maintaining an uncomfortable position during the donation. The rest of your symptoms are likely to have occurred due to the blood loss. You can apply a hot water bag over the back where it's hurting and apply a topical analgesic while massaging the area gently should give you some relief. If the problem persists or worsens visit the ER at the earliest

Do not worry.it is not at all because of blood donation. You are very young, need not to worry, it may be with stress. Take tablet Aceclo MR twice daily for 3 Days along with tablet rantac. Avoid massages.
