Baby not burping even after 20 -30 min
Baby is 6 weeks 4 days old. Baby sometimes doesn't burp even after 20-30 mins of patting . I also try to change the position but still he doesn't burp. Doc has recommended to make the baby burp after each feed as my baby is gassy baby .

The main point of burping is to keep the baby upright and prevent regurgitation of the feeds.
So do it for 15-20 minutes maximum and then put the baby to sleep if possible.
If awake, you can expose the child to some tummy time so that any extra gas goes away.

Babies may or may not burp each time. Dont try for more than 15 mins. No need to worry
