Please indicate what's the suitable number of times one could feel babh movements, in the 7th month running of a normal pregnancy. Also there has been no such sensation for the past 15 hrs during the day, should there be anything to worry about ?

Thank you for your question. Provided you have a healthy pregnancy you may feel movements throughout the day. The pattern varies from baby to baby. One complete movement or roll is counted as one movement. If you observe your baby in a quiet place with your hand on your tummy you will be able to appreciate them better as there is considerable amount of fluid relative to the baby in the seventh month. You may need to observe for a whole hour three times a day. Generally at least 10 movements from morning to night is considered OK. The number is not as important as the relative difference to what they were. If you feel they are reduced then you are probably correct. As a mother you are more in tune with your baby than anyone else and what you notice is the most important indicator of your baby's wellbeing. 15 hours is too long to not feel movements if they were OK before that. Please see your obstetrician for a check up soon. Best wishes
