My baby boy(10 months old) has tiny holes in both of his ears right from his birth. I suddenly came across an article in internet about preauricular pits or sinus. I am worried will he be affected by this as the holes are open.. Kindly suggest me on what needs to be done further on this?

These puts are most likely to be pre-auricular sinus which can be confirmed by an ENT surgeon in examination. It is a common congenital condition and the treatment is by Surgery. Not getting treatment will cause these sinuses to become repeatedly infected and discharge pus.
