Baby crying very often in a day

Dear Sir, My daughter is 8 month old, and she is crying very often, we didn't understand what makes her crying, we consulted doctor he told it may be because of cold and nose congestion. But after giving cold medicines still not produce any good result. Generally she stool everyday at least once. Please suggest.
