Long walk like this , cause dehydration due to water and loss of sodium potassium due to perspiration, which can be cause of leg cramps. Banana is rich in potassium, so have it before walk, also take a one liter bottle of water to which one sachet of ORS like electral is added and consume during walk , this will take care of sodium potassium and water loss I feel this should solve the problem
