Atpd disorder
Doctor has prescribe resperidone 2mg . I have heard it increase prolactin in female. And my Atpd is fully cured so what should I do.

Risperidone 2 mg can increase prolactin, especially in females — which may cause irregular periods, breast discharge, weight gain, or low libido.
But in ATPD (Acute and Transient Psychotic Disorder), even if symptoms are better, medication is usually continued for a few months to prevent relapse.

Hello.
Yes, risperidone can increase prolactin in females but not in all cases. You can watch for symptoms like galactorrhea, menstrual irregularities, etc. For ATPD medication should not be stopped immediately as it might lead to appearance of symptoms again.
