Atorvastatin and metformin
Me from mumbai age 43 My doctor advised me atorva 10 and metformin 500 mg. In last feb when my fasting sugar 152 and total cholesterol 226 due do lokdown doctor advised continue the dose 1 time daily. Now all report normal by maintain diet and exercise total cholesterol is 169 and fasting sugar 96 and HBAIC IS 5.4% What to do the dose of atorva 10 and metformin 500 mg harmful to kideny and liver for long time use plz advised me

Atorva is used to lower cholesterol and lipids from the blood, whereas metformin acts on the sugar levels. Considering your current reports,atorva can be stopped for a while.However, a complete lipid profile report dhould be done before that. Metformin has to be continued.
