My Dad, 75+ has multiple complications.
We found recently his valve has shrunk and the next procedure is aortic valve replacement. But knowing his other complications Dr advised not to proceed.
In between we had to admit him for breathing issues many a times.
For past 3 days he is not able to lie on the bed. He is only sitting and making the condition worse, his hands and legs are completely swollen. He is not able to sleep in the sleeping position. What should I recommend now

He needs the valve replacement .. there are better techniques now , go for TAVI (Transcatheter aortic valve implantation) which is valve replacement without a major open operative procedure
Next Steps
Consult. A cardiologist for TAVI

TAVI is a non surgical non open heart surgery for replacing aortic valve. Consider that. And at present he seems to be in heart failure. I suggest you take him to a hospital for IV diuretics
