My mother, who is 68 years old, has been taking gabapin 300 (1-0-1) for the past 20 days in order to treat ataxia brought on by peripheral neuropathy as a result of for the first time elevated FBS & PPBS as her
vitamin b12, MRI brain and spine, all blood,
thyroid,
kidney, and infection reports were all normal, but FBS & PPBS came out to be slightly higher in that report. She has begun using
sugar medications in addition to gabapin to regulate and control her blood sugar. Additionally, her blood pressure is normal, and a recent blood sugar check indicates normal FBS & ppbs due to the 20 days of sugar therapy. The only concern is still a minor balance issue while walking on uneven surfaces, difficulty ascending or descending stairs without help, and difficulty when walking for longer. So, can gabapin 300 (1-0-1) help her walk normally again? likewise any side effects of gabapin 300 (1-0-1)? She would require any physiotherapy necessary to go back to walking properly and pain free?
