My wife is currently in 34th week pregnancy..during my last consultation with gynoco..she has directed us to seek anesthesia consultation before delivery..regarding ths i want to know is ths is mandatory or optional

It's not mandatory but discuss the details about mode of delivery, risk factors about your wife, possibilities of c sections, epidural analgesia  ..these things to be cleared
