Hello, I'm having chronic lower back pain and going through sessions from physiotherapist. My question is can I do weight training with lighter weight while I'm getting these sessions? Regards, Anurag

Hi Your treating physio must have told you the probable cause of your back pain and precautions to be taken. If pain is there with activity of daily routine, then no point going for weight training for your back,..core strengthening with emphasis on stability and pain reduction is must before going to larger muscle training in strength and conditioning regimen. Consult and follow

If you are suffering with pain then you should not lift any weights that affects your llwer back muscles that may cause increase in pain and some times it leads to tear of ligaments. Untill and unless the pain reduces completely you should avoid weights, do lower strengthening exercises that will be suggested by your physio.

Hi, for any workout u will need to sit or stand or lie on some gym equipment. Basically gym equipments aren't ergonomic because people don't spend half day over it. Even correct posture during workout will not be easy to maintain So, to summarise, stop all hand n leg workout until low back pain is bare minimum. Best is to go for walk 20-25 min of walk at medium speed.
