This is clearly evident that your wisdom tooth is impacted, so extraction is the only option available as treatment, because in future this will lead to several problems for eg. pain , cheek bite, difficulty in mouth opening and many more
So it is advised to get it removed ASAP

This wisdom tooth is distoangularly impacted it will cause problems to you in the future. The dentist which you had consulted was 100% right in his assessment, and you can get it extracted whenever u get the chance because as soon as it comes out in the oral cavity it will case pain as it is impacted.
