Cavity or decay is in all probability irreversible.  No amount of ayurveda allopathy or homeopathy can stop a decay from progressing. The only way to stop a cavity from spreading is to physically remove the infected part of the tooth in order to heal the affected part of the tooth. This is where a dentist role comes into play where a drill is used to remove the decay and a inert filling is used to support and seal the defect. Root canal is done at a stage where the cavity is allowed to spread to an extent that it affects the vitality of the tooth.
