Use a small cotton ball dipped in ice cold water and keep it pressed lightly for an hour or so. Light oozing or blood tinged saliva is normal after extraction. If bleeding is more , your dentist may need to put a suture there.
Health Tips
Check if your mother is taking any blood thinners like aspirin which can cause bleeding

Either place a tea bag or cotton pack and press for half and hour. Do not spit, do not use straw, no aerated drink and avoid hot liquid or food. Visit your dentist.
