What are simple carbs and complex carbs? I hear complex carbohydrates all the time. Why? What foods fall under simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates?

Simple carbs are the one wich gets digested easily and are mostly low in fibre they r usually found in fruits, table sugar, etc. Whereas in complex carbs they get digested and absorbed slowly They also contains fibres. They r usually found in cereals and pulses.

Carbs which contain dietary fiber are complex carbs like Ragi, jowar, bajra, beans, vegetables etc Simple carbs are easy to digest carbs because it doesn't not contain dietary fiber they are high in glycemic index like sugar, fruit juices, white bread, refined flour etc.
