Hi Bharat, thank you for sharing this so openly. Living with OCD for so many years can make a person mentally tired and constantly alert, especially when the mind keeps creating doubt, suspicion, fear, and overthinking. After a point, it stops feeling like “just thoughts” and starts feeling completely real and convincing. That can be very painful and lonely.
What you have understood is actually important. Many people with OCD keep trying to mentally solve every thought, check whether it is true, or fight it alone. But the more importance we give to the thought, the more the brain keeps throwing it back. It becomes a loop. Medication can help calm the intensity, but therapy helps you understand how to slowly stop getting trapped by the mind’s tricks. OCD is very treatable when worked on properly and patiently. You do not have to fight this battle alone or keep suffering silently for years. Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
