This topic has been debated too often. Even AIIMS NEW DELHI had taken up this topic way back in early 1980s because there has always been a concern for the health of mother and baby ever-since ultrasound came as a diagnostic modality in the World. If there was such high incidence of growth restriction in the test group , do you think any Government would have approved the use of ultrasound for pregnant ladies? You should appreciate that 100% ladies have atleast 3 , may be many more, ultrasound examinations during pregnancy. If the incidence of growth restrictions in babies was so high, half of the World would have been growth retarded by now. Such stunts have been played by some Business Houses when they have interest in putting some equipment in Disrepute. This paper has not found any place in Text Books so far.
