Hi... 'Systematic Desensitisation' is the best method to deal with such issues. It is primarily meant to treat phobias but it will work well in your case because your trauma is getting triggered when you are trying to address your issues by talking about them. It is a time taking process but it will work well. If these triggers (memories/flashback) are bit bearable, then CBT will also work well. Sometimes, our mind is trying to forget an unpleasant event and anything that brings that memory in our immediate consciousness triggers a panic response. But ultimately we need to address those issues in our conscious mind otherwise they will keep interfering with our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours at a more latent level, i.e., subconscious or unconscious mind. If you think that this particular trauma has more deeper subconscious/unconscious roots than even Psychoanalysis will also work well. Remember, there is no one best solution to solve a problem, but there are more appropriate and effective ways to address a problem. Choose a professional and let them suggest what will work best for you.
