It needs to be addressed in a holistic approach for complete recovery. It can be well treated with CBT, person centred therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy along with homeopathic medicine for complete recovery. Allopathic medicines have a lot of side effects and are addictive in nature. It becomes very difficult for a therapist also to choose the right therapy plan, due to changing emotional experiences and allopathic medicines. It needs to be treated by an expert psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

PTSD treatment best works with a combination of mind body approaches. Which can include Cognitive therapies as well as Emotion and Body focused therapies. A suggestion would be to go for therapist that has eclectic and trauma informed approach (meaning they can integrate therapies based on need but also hold deep understanding about trauma).
Next Steps
Select therapist based on whether they have experience working with PTSD, are trauma informed and can integrate different therapies.

Hi, It's commendable that you are actively seeking help for your PTSD and recognizing cognitive distortions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Therapy are effective approaches for addressing these issues. In CBT, you can work with your therapist to identify and challenge cognitive distortions, which are negative thought patterns that can exacerbate feelings of distress. This process typically involves learning to reframe negative thoughts into more balanced and realistic ones. Additionally, Trauma-Focused Therapy will help you process and integrate your traumatic experiences in a safe environment, allowing you to reduce symptoms and improve your emotional regulation. Combining these therapeutic approaches with consistent medication management, self-care practices, and support from peers or support groups can further enhance your healing journey. Remember, recovery is a gradual process, and it's important to be patient and compassionate with yourself as you navigate this path.
