2022-12-06 17:40:28
I had a root canal treatment on a molar tooth 5 months ago and my dentist did a temporary filling later that week but all of a sudden he went out of town for work and hasn't come back yet. That temporary filling only stayed for a while and came out. It's been more than 4 months now my tooth is open and hurts sometimes. i couldn't go because i had dental anxiety. that tooth stinks what should I do ? can that tooth be saved or should I get it extracted?

Get xray of tooth.if rct is incomplete, get it done.later, crown has to be placed. To relieve pain and infection, antibiotics along with analgesics has to be taken. You can consult through this for prescription of medication.

Better visit a local dentist for treatment and physical evaluation. Doctor will do the x ray, and accordingly the treatment. As filling has came out, so there is a chance of re infection.
Next Steps
Do visit a local dentist for treatment and physical evaluation.
