Which tooth is it? Front tooth or back tooth? Avoid using too much pressure and chewing hard foods on the affected teeth until you visit the dentist. The dentist will check and may take an x-ray before repairing the edges by either suggesting a veneer/crown or do a simple filling. This will mask the broken appearance and protect teeth from further damage. (Note: you could require additional root canal treatment if the tooth is badly damaged on the inside. )

Hello. The tooth might have been broken due to decay so u need to visit a dentist for the same.If it's a small part which is chipped off then it can be restored by tooth colored filling material and if deep then root canal is required.

Please visit a dentist...the broken edges of your tooth can either be rounded off so that they are not sharp or even built up with a tooth coloured material if required.
