Too much self talk and it's effects.

I self talk a lot.Its like there are 3 versions of a situation in my head .e.g I help someone .First I feel I genuinely wanted to help.Then I feel I helped because I wanted the person's appreciation . I even tell the person that maybe I helped because I was trying to project myself as a good person.Third ,I feel maybe I told the person because I am so shrewd that I was trying to gain the person's sympathy this way.

I think u are extremely right u want sympathy and attention of others. It is ur main issues. May be some bad experience, worse situations in life,childhood abuses, sexual harassment ,financial problems, relationship problems etc are the causes of these type of behaviour. Consult psychologist online or offline immediately and take care of ur problems. Release of pent up emotions and change in behaviour is main treatment protocol in this case. Best wishes.

It's not about 3 versions it's over thinking and underlying anxiety. Need to investigate further it's completely manageable through therapy and counseling and if need permits through medication Consult with me or any psychologist for therapy and counseling All the best More power to you
