Tiredness 20 days t 3 and tsh high,t4 no

I have been suffering from tiredness since last 20 days my blood report shows t 3 3.17 nmol/l and tsh 11.01 uUl/l t4 is normal my wieght is increasing and i fell sleepy all the day doctor has given me THYROX 25 macleods and amitriptyline hci 10 mg us it okay to take this medicine or i consult some other specialist please tell me what food to eat to recover from it and in how much time i can recover compleyely

Hello dear patient, you are diagnosed with hypothyroid, so you need to take thyrox tablet, TSH blood test has to be repeated after 3 to 4 weeks to decide if your dose need to be changed or not. Regarding amitryptiline it can cause sleepiness so you can stop that after consultation your doctor. Foods don't help much with hypothyroidism so I advise you to take balanced diet, take vitamin d supplements and calcium rich diet. In case you need a second opinion then you can follow up with me.
