I got my thyroid tested for the first time. T3 and T4 are in normal range but my TSH is slightly high i.e 5.27. What does this mean and what should i do about it? Should i start any medication or not?

It is in normal range though it depends on laboratory reference value. As u dont have any complains. Can wait.

Hi High TSH It means to keep the body stores of thyroid hormone to normal brain is working hard and TSH increases But your TSH is borderline (0.4 to 5 normal range) Also it depends on the lab so range may differ So need to see the report TSH can also be increased in some physiological conditions.. So it’s important to clinically correlate your report Do you have any symptoms? Even if you have symptoms, this condition can be treated easily Need complete details for further management
