You don't have to change the medicine, only adjust the dose. Please consult your General Physician in your area for the further management

If you have hypothyroidism and your TSH level is 10, thyronorm 50 mcg is not adequate, you may need a higher dose to lower the TSH level

You should definitely consult a doctor with old and new reports. Definitely need to confirm if you have hypo or hyperthyroidism. More details are needed. I can guide you with further treatment.

Your TSH has risen to 10 (normal is usually 0.4–4.0 mIU/L), which means your antithyroid medicine (likely carbimazole or methimazole, often in 5 mg or 20 mg tablets — note: 50 mcg would be very low and unusual for hyperthyroidism treatment; it might be a typo for 50 mg or similar) has over-controlled your thyroid. This is common during treatment and suggests you’re moving toward hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) from overtreatment. This is not a failure of the medicine but a sign the current dose is too high now. It’s good you checked — catching this early prevents symptoms like tiredness, weight gain, cold feeling, or constipation.
Next Steps
• Do NOT stop or change the dose yourself — contact your doctor (endocrinologist or treating physician) as soon as possible (ideally within a few days). • Repeat thyroid tests (TSH, free T4, free T3) soon — usually in 4-6 weeks after any change, but your doctor will decide timing. • Bring your full recent blood report (including T4/T3 levels) to the visit — TSH alone doesn’t tell the whole story.
Health Tips
• Watch for signs of low thyroid: feeling very tired, cold hands/feet, dry skin, hair loss, constipation, or slow heartbeat — tell your doctor if these appear. • Continue your current dose exactly until the doctor advises otherwise. • Eat healthy, avoid big changes in iodine-rich foods (like seaweed), and don’t take extra supplements without advice. • Keep a note of any new symptoms to share with your doctor. For the best personalized plan based on your full thyroid results, age, symptoms, and medicine details, please consult with me online — I can help explain more or guide what to ask your doctor. Take care and get this adjusted soon — you’ll feel better!

There seems to be some confusion here. If you truly have hyperthyroidism, you are not supposed to take 50 mcg thyroid tablets (levothyroxine) — that medicine is for hypothyroidism. A TSH of 10 actually suggests hypothyroid levels, not hyperthyroid. So either: •you were originally hypothyroid, or •the diagnosis/medicine needs correction.
Next Steps
Do not change or stop the medicine on your own. You need a proper review with TSH, T3, T4 reports and your prescription history. Based on that, the dose may need adjustment.
Health Tips
Wrong thyroid medicine or dose can push levels up or down and cause symptoms.
