HLA B 27 test is usually asked to confirm inflammatory spondylopathy ( ankylosing spondylitis ), and other seronegative arthropathies.
90% of people with ankylosing spondylitis are hla b 27 positive but all hla b 27 positive people won’t develop ankylosing spondylitis. So being positive for hla b 27 should not be seen as diagnostic for any disease type.
