As suggested by other practioners yes its not curable but ofcourse self limiting will settle down some day. One need to maintain good posture and proper exercise for managing pain and posture as prolonged medication specificaly steroids could cause damage to organs and body as a whole. One should be in persistent contact of a physio who can advice you on postural changes and mechanism to avoid them for major part of management

Positive HLA B27 in the presence of back pain is an indication that Ankylosing Spondylitis may develop or other spondyloarthropathies may develop. It is not a definite but there are possibilities. If it does develop it is not curable. You can only control the symptoms. Keeping active and stretching exercises will keep the flexibility. You will need to consult a Rheumatologist for further management. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Spine Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS(Trauma&Orth)

HLA B 27 is a kind of antigen ..A positive test result suggest that there is a close chance of having spondyloarthropathies..As mentioned symptoms also correlates the condition.. U need to meet a re humatologist  and physiotherapy will help in slowing the disease progress and deformity formation. Slow and low impact exercises will help in conditioning the muscles and stop progress of deformities ln spine and other joints. You can consult a Physio near by he/she will advice exercise practices which should be incorporated into to the daily routine for better results.
