You should post your cracked tooth photo here. Only looking that one can say exact treatments plan. U might need ROOT CANAL TREATMENT followed by CROWN (100%). it's a thumb rule to go for crown after ROOT canal. Don't have any sort of doubt on that please.

A tooth breaks only when there is decay. If tooth is broken root canal is advisable. Cap is undoubtedly a sequel procedure after root canal.

Hello, without looking at it it's difficult to say, how much portion of tooth is remaining has to be seen, but still root canal treatment and cap will work and if more part is broken a post has to be placed inside tooth. And if huge portion is lost then extraction has to be done.

Hello..Depending on extent of fracture by clinical examination, treatment can be planned accordingly. If it is mild fracture ,filling is sufficient but if fracture is nearby to vital tissue better to go for root canal treatment followed by cap.

A proper clinical examination by a dentist will be able to help him devise the right treatment plan for you, whether the tooth needs only a filling (if the damage is not extensive) or it needs root canal treatment..... if restoration by a cap is suggested, it would be definitely recommended to go for root canal treatment before that for a better long term prognosis.... Regards....
