At first plz get the intraoral x-ray done to decide if the cavity has gone beyond the living part of tooth called pulp or nerve ,if it has, then get the RCT done.RCT is done mainly in steps. In first visit doctor will make a hole in the tooth to access the pulp after he Will insert some kind of pins called files in the pulp to remove it then after complete removal he will use some chemicals like 2or 5% sodium hypochloride and normal saline to rinse ur tooth pulp thoroughly.in the next visit doctor will once again clean it thoroughly and after that he will fill up the space with a material called gutta percha, then he will fill the hole created in first visit with appropriate cement followed by a crown or cap fabrication on the top of ur tooth to make it strong as it was earlier . Regards!
