Teeth extraction gaps can't be closed?

I got braces about 4 month ago because my teeth were only slightly misaligned. The dentist extracted 2 upper (premolars). Now I'm worried that the extraction gaps are too big and more than the space that was required to align the teeth and I'm worried they won't close. What do I do? What are my options in case at the end of my treatment it turns out that the gaps can't be closed?

Is your dentist specialist in orthodontics, if yes ,you can trust and proceed treatment, if not then go for a second opinion.

Don't worry. It is a standard procedure to remove premolars. Your result will be okay.
