Hi I am a gum specialist. And cleaning will definitely not cause spaces between teeth. This is an illusion since after cleaning you begin to notice the spaces between the teeth which were filled with dirt and deposits. Few people having gum disease already tend to have lots of spaces between their teeth. Cleaning will definitely not aggravate any pre existing spaces.

Scaling and polishing doesnt harm your teeth if done properly. However proper tip angulation has to be maintained to avoid any unnecessary wear on the scaled surface. Make sure you get it done by a qualified dentist near you and not by a hygienist.

Scaling and polishing ( cleaning of teeth) does not cause any spaces to develop. Your teeth may have some natural spaces and when tartar is removed they become more apparent but scaling does not cause them. Any good dentist near you should be able to do the needful

No, cleaning your teeth will not create space between the teeth. the usual gaps between the teeth get filled by tartar which forms on the teeth. After scaling, when the harmful tartar fillings are removed from the teeth, patients feel that the gaps between the teeth have increased.
