Hi, I'm not having any issues with my teeth. I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned. Does normal routine teeth cleaning cause gaps in between teeth?

Hello... For every  12 hrs plaque is formed on the teeth that's  why we ask the patients to brush twice daily. If this is not cleaned properly it will get  pile up and becomes hard i.e calculus with the salts of saliva.if this is not cleaned properly gum diseases occur leading to boneloss around teeth, tooth fall over a period of time. All thr above said process is painless. So its better  to have regular checkups  with dentist

Hello sir,              Hope you are doing good. It is good to get your teeth cleaned atleast once in a year. Generally dirt and infection of mouth is referred to as dental calculus. It is formed due to improper oral hygiene. It will make your gums swollen and it will occupy the space in between the teeth creating gaps. Once you remove the calculus you can see the gaps created by calculus and not because of scaling (professional cleaning).
Next Steps
Go for scaling

HELLO PATEINT, I WILL BE PRECISE IN ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION, THE TEETH HAVE PLAQUE AND CALCULUS DEPOSISTS ON THEM AND THE SEVERITY OF THOSE DEPOSITS WILL DETERMINE THE GAPS IN BETWEEN YOUR TEETH. IF THE DEPOSISTS ARE MORE AND YOU ARE NOT FEELING THE GAPS BETWEEN YOUR TEETH, POST CLEANING YOU WILL FEEL THE GAPS BECAUSE THE CALCULUS HAS BEEN REMOVED. SO, THE CLEANING WILL NOT CREATE THE GAPS BUT I WILL PREVENT THE SPACE FROM WIDENING IN FUTURE BY DETECTING THE GUM PROBLEM AT AN EARLY STAGE. SO, MY ADVICE WILL BE TO GET THE CLEANING DONE.
